What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?
Cosmetic acupuncture is as old as acupuncture itself, approximately 3000 years old. The needles used for cosmetic acupuncture are finer than those used on the body. Cosmetic acupuncture should not be painful, but a relaxing and calming experience that leaves you feeling lighter and looking brighter.
Your treatment session will be approximately 75-90 minutes duration. Cynthia will listen to what your facial concerns are and we will discuss treatment outcomes with time frames.
You can also discuss any other health issues you maybe experiencing such as stress, anxiety, depression and/or pain. These concerns can be treated with acupuncture, lifestyle advice and/or herbs. So, it’s a 2 for 1 treatment.
Sometimes a combination of modalities is needed to get your health back on track. This can include gua sha, cupping, herbal medicine, moxibustion and lifestyle advice. More information on these can be found on the 'what is TCM' page.
This is all done in a professional, caring and relaxing environment.
For your first treatment session please arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete the initial intake form. That way we can ensure you will benefit from your full appointment time.
